Furnishing Windsor Castle
Designs and furnishings for George IV's Green Drawing Room at Windsor
Centre table
1828-29RCIN 4633
The king appears to have intended the Green Drawing Room for occasional use by the Privy Council at Windsor, at least until a more appropriate area had been created in the State Apartments. For that purpose a 'very large oval council table' was supplied by Morel and Seddon. The top of the table is cut so that it can be enlarged by the addition of an extra piece.
