This portrait of the Maharaja Duleep Singh was taken at Roehampton by the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII. A close friend of the royal family, Duleep Singh frequently invited the Prince of Wales to shooting parties on his estate at Elveden Hall, Suffolk.
