Prince Alamayou is shown here seated with legs crossed on the corner piece of a balustrade in front of a scenic backdrop. The firm Hughes & Mullins received a Royal Warrant on 15 January 1885 and were named 'Photographers to Her Majesty at Ryde'. The firm made numerous portraits of Queen Victoria, the royal family and individuals of private significance.
