Photograph of one of Queen Victoria's dachshunds, Zerline, nursing her puppies at the kennels in Windsor Home Park. Zerline is lying on a bed of straw facing left, with five puppies lying beside her.

Dachshunds were one of Queen Victoria's favourite breeds of dog. These puppies were born on 17th August 1865.
