ictoria and Albert visited the Prime Minister Lord Melbourne’s seat, Brocket Hall, during a tour of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire early in their marriage. The focus of this watercolour is not the grand house, which Stanley places to the left of the composition, but its idyllic setting.
