Victoria, Princess Royal, and Princess Alice in eighteenth-century costume

To celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday in 1850, Prince Albert arranged a performance by the nine-year-old Princess Royal and the seven-year-old Princess Alice. The two children danced an eighteenth-century minuet, to the delight of their mother. Their costumes were made by M. and Mlle Vouillon et Laure.
