The Great Exhibition: Belgium

1851

RCIN 919948

The Belgian section included the plaster statue Le Lion Amoreux by Geefs (far left), a bronze version of which was placed in the Lower Corridor at Balmoral. At the centre can be seen a large plaster cast of the statue of Godfrey of Bouillon by Eugène Simonis, which still stands in the Place Royale in Brussels.
