The Atholl Inkstand hallmark 1844-5
Prince Albert commissioned this inkstand to commemorate the royal couple’s visit to Scotland in September 1844, and oversaw the design of the model himself. Many of the materials were drawn from the area around Blair Atholl, where they stayed during their visit.
Commissioned by Prince Albert and presented to Queen Victoria at Christmas 1845
