Mantel clock

RCIN 30029

Made for King Louis-Philippe for the palace of Saint-Cloud and repeating a design first produced in 1826 for Charles X, this clock was presented to Queen Victoria during the King’s visit to Windsor in 1844. The Sèvres panels depict the three ages of clock-making and portraits of famous horologists.
