Grand piano

1856

RCIN 2426

For Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the piano was the centre of music-making at home. Together they played arrangements of overtures and symphonies, and accompanied each other in song. This spectacular instrument combines a bright and clear sound with decorations specifically chosen by the Queen, in the style of eighteenth-century singerie decorations.
