In this companion to Morning in the Highlands, Prince Albert displays the stags hunted during the day. The gillie John Brown stands in the foreground holding a torch with, to the left, Prince Albert, the Earl of Aberdeen and Sir Charles Phipps. The Queen and the Prince of Wales are at the centre.

Commissioned by Queen Victoria and presented to Prince Albert on his birthday, 26 August 1854
