Books

The display of books includes literature, music and drama, science, antiquities, and art. The coloured spine labels indicate the subject classification of each work. Many are presentation copies, inscribed to the Queen and Prince by their authors and decoratively bound. Very personal volumes include the velvet-bound Bible and prayer book given to the couple by the Duchess of Kent on their wedding day.
