Carlton House: The Crimson Drawing Room

1816

RCIN 922176

The Crimson Drawing Room was situated at the north-west corner of the Principal Floor. Like many other rooms at Carlton House, it was lavishly furnished. The chandeliers were outstanding examples of their type. From here, visitors walked through to the Circular Room, where concerts and receptions were staged.

Acquired by King George VI, 1948
