RCIN 404754

Aurora fell in love with the mortal, Tithonus, and asked Jupiter to grant him eternal life, forgetting to specify eternal youth. The Venetian artist depicts the goddess of the dawn rising upwards in her youthful beauty in contrast with her aged husband lying on the ground.
