The exhibition

This exhibition brings together some of the finest treasures from the principal royal palaces as a celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The works on display cover an exceptional range, reflecting the tastes of royal collectors over five centuries.

This exhibition also celebrates fifty years of exhibitions at The Queen’s Galleries. The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace was established by Her Majesty The Queen in 1962 in order to encourage greater access to the Royal Collection, and rebuilt on a much larger scale in 2002. The Queen’s Gallery, Edinburgh was opened in the same year.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
