A number of boxes and frames with enamelled views of royal residences were purchased directly through the London branch by both King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. They were either directly commissioned, or had their production carefully orchestrated to appeal to the King and Queen.

The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
