The Royal Academy Platinum Jubilee Gift

To mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, the Royal Academy of Arts presented the Queen with works of art on paper by 20 recently elected Academicians.
The Platinum Jubilee Gift, which includes works from high-profile Academicians such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Rana Begum, Thomas Heatherwick and Yinka Shonibare, bears witness to the diversity of contemporary British art – from traditional media such as brush and ink to the boundless possibilities of digital prints, and in modes ranging from meticulous architectural construction to playful abstraction.
This special display is included as part of your visit to our exhibition Japan: Courts and Culture.
