The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are pictured standing at the doors of the Royal Saloon at Spondon Station prior to their departure, after a long and eventful day in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. The programme for the day included a tour of Tutbury Castle and a visit to Repton School, concluding with a Thanksgiving Service in the school chapel during which The Duke of Edinburgh read a lesson.
