A fine illuminated copy of Sa'di's Gulistan made in the workshop of the Mughal nobleman and personal attendant of Emperor Akbar, Abd al-Mutallib Khan, in Agra in 1584. The calligraphy is by Muhammad Husayn Kashmiri zarin-qalam ('Golden Pen'), a title given to him by the emperor in recognition of his skill. It was presented to Akbar as a gift.
