William Ross was Queen Victoria’s piper and is depicted in full Highland dress of Royal Stewart tartan. Ross set up a successful bagpipe business in London which supplied pipes to all the Scottish regiments. An expert on pipe music, he published a collection of over 400 tunes collected from Scottish and Irish pipers. Commissioned by Queen Victoria
