Marrying Danish craftsmanship with Russian imperial motifs, this commemorative tankard was made to mark the coronation of Alexander III and Empress Maria Feodorovna. The silver lid is chased with imperial eagles and has in the centre a commemorative medallion with the date of the coronation, 27 May 1883.

Probably acquired by Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, 1883
