Arthur Ellis accompanied the Prince of Wales to the wedding of the prince’s sister-in-law, Maria Feodorovna, to the Tsesarevich Alexander in 1866, and recorded the events in this journal. A mixture of diary and sketches, it describes the ceremonies and characters that the royal party met on their journey.
