Section of flounce from the wedding dress of Princess Alexandra

Honiton lace | 29 cm (Depth) (whole object) | RCIN 120004

This lace flounce was attached in four tiers around the skirt of Princess Alexandra’s wedding dress. It is decorated with a pattern of cornucopias overflowing with the emblems of the British Isles: thistles, roses and shamrocks.
