Sachet from Princess Victoria Mary’s wedding trousseau

This pink satin sachet formed part of Princess May’s trousseau. Her trousseau was of entirely British manufacture and on a generous scale. It consisted of forty outdoor suits, fifteen ball dresses, bonnets, shoes and much more. Scotland created tweeds, Irish factories supplied poplin and lace, whilst English manufacturers created silk dresses and hats.
