    The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh received approximately 15,000 congratulatory letters and 2,500 telegrams at the time of their Silver Wedding anniversary. They are shown here reading through messages sent from around the world by rulers including the Kings of Tonga and Thailand, and the Emperors of Japan and Ethiopia.
