Bracelet with a diamond and enamel buckle

c.1830 and later

Gold, enamel, diamonds | 4.4 x 6.6 x 6.2 cm (whole object) | RCIN 13876

This bracelet was a wedding present to Princess Alexandra from the Duke of Cambridge, Queen Victoria’s first cousin. The three diamond ostrich feathers in the centre are the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales. The enamel clasp appears to date from early in the reign of King William IV, the Duke’s uncle.
