Principal wedding cake

These two winged putti holding rings have survived from the principal wedding cake supplied for the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of York. It was made by McVitie and Price, had four tiers, weighed over 350 kg and was nearly 3 metres high. The photograph below shows the figurines standing on one of the tiers.
