Silver filigree rattle used by the children of George III
Silver rattles have been a traditional toy for very young children for hundreds of years. This filigree rattle was presented to George, Prince of Wales (later George IV) by Lady Charlotte Finch, governess to the children of George III. It was subsequently also used by Queen Victoria's children.
