Caring

A young infant needs continual loving care to ensure he or she is kept fed, warm, clean and well rested.

Traditionally monarchs have shared the care of their children with one or more nurses or nannies, and many royal children have formed close and long-lasting relationships with those who have provided invaluable support to their mother and father.

As the centuries have progressed royal parents have tended to be more directly involved in caring for their child on a day to day basis, although some assistance is still the norm.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
