STEPHEN RAW (B. 1952)

Virgil's Bees

RCIN 812913

Prior to the climate change summit in Copenhagen in December 2009, the Guardian asked artists, authors and poets to produce new work in response to global environmental issues. Duffy’s poem is a play on Book IV of Virgil’s Georgics, which deals with the life and habits of bees, but with an ecological sting in its tail. Presented by Stephen Raw, 2014
