This narrative poem is a satire on the state of women’s education. It follows the fortunes of a princess who sets up a university, although her plans are disrupted by a prince. This edition contains illustrations after the painter Daniel Maclise. Presented to Prince Albert by Queen Victoria for Christmas 1859
