This book contains a selection of poems by Robert Bridges written in 1913, the year he became Poet Laureate. This copy was bound by W. H. Smith for presentation to King George V in blue goatskin with delicate gold tooling surrounding the cipher ‘GRV’. The poem displayed mentions the Curfew Tower, Windsor Castle, which was then, as now, a royal residence. Presented to King George V by Robert Bridges, 1915
