An etching of the gardens at Claremont, Surrey showing the lake and the amphitheatre, with people at leisure. Lettered below in English and French, with the publication line 'sold by Robert Sayer, no. 53 Fleet Street'. The plate was first issued in 1754. The landscape gardens at Claremont, with the impressive terraced turf amphitheatre, were first laid out by Charles Bridgman in the 1720s.
