Flora Danica
These (RCIN 58003; 58004; 58013; 58021; 58018) are examples of a pattern known as Flora Danica, after the multi-volume botanical encyclopedia of the same name from which the images were taken. On the reverse of the plates and the tureen bases are the Latin names for the plants and a notation which directly relates to the volume and plate for the plant in the Flora Danica encyclopaedia.
