Be inspired by our exhibition Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing, and try oil painting for the first time.

For Leonardo, oil paint was a recent innovation. He was free to experiment and find out what this versatile new medium could do, free of the rules which later generations would develop. Follow in his footsteps and start from the basics. Follow simple steps to create your first oil painting to take home.

This workshop combines demonstrations and plenty of hands-on experience of this versatile and exciting medium.

All materials will be provided.
