Gold, silver and black lacquer on wood | 9.0 x 43.0 x 15.0 cm (parts .a and .b together) | RCIN 79921

Box with rounded corners, having a pair of metal rings with chrysanthemum fixings on the sides and a dark purple tasselled cord; the overfitting cover with matching cut-outs on the sides. The slightly domed top decorated on a gold ground with three chrysanthemum stems, with blooms in relief in gold or silver, and with daisies, and a stream flowing below.
