Silk flowers

Prince Charles was christened in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace on 15 December 1948 by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Geoffrey Fisher. Prince Charles’s great grandmother, Queen Mary, was present and she kept these silk flowers from one of his Christening cakes and wrote the accompanying note as a memento.
