Prince Charles attended preparatory school until the age of 14 when he moved to Gordonstoun in north-eastern Scotland. The photograph shows the Prince in 1967, the year he took his ‘A’ levels, before beginning at Trinity College, Cambridge. It was taken in the Royal Library at Windsor Castle by his uncle Lord Snowdon, who marked this print as a ‘Rough’ copy, for approval.
