Prince Charles and Princess Anne with The Queen at Balmoral Castle
After her birth in 1950, Princess Anne became Prince Charles’s principal playmate. Prince Charles can be seen in a series of photographs playing with his sister and mother at Balmoral in 1952. Balmoral Castle in the Scottish Highlands was built by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a family holiday home. It is still used by the Royal Family, particularly during the summer months.
