THOMAS ROWLANDSON (1757-1827)

Sunday Morning

signed & dated 1798

RCIN 913703

A drawing of a couple out for a walk. At the front is a small woman with an irritable expression. Behind her walks a man wearing a long overcoat, a tricorn hat and a downcast face. He holds a folded paper under his left arm. They are preceded by a small dog. The title was probably added later, based on their formal clothes.
