Princess Charlotte of Wales was George IV's only child, and died in childbirth at a tragically young age. This commemorative cameo has been mounted in a gold mesh bracelet which displays the techniques of cannetille (related to filigree work) and grainti (granulated gold), both of which were popular in jewellery design in the 1820s.
