Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea!

2012

RCIN 212792

A collage consisting of a photograph of a bus hanging over the edge of a building, lettering, and a drawing of a bus. The lettering reads 'Pavilion' and 'Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea!'. The collage relates to an installation by the artist at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-on-Sea in 2012 as part of the Cultural Olympiad, in which a 1960s model coach was balanced over the edge of the roof of the Pavilion. The installation is a recreation of the final scene of the 1969 film 'The Italian Job' (directed by Peter Collinson), and is named after actor Michael Caine's famous last line in the film.
