Worn by The Queen to address the House of Representatives in Lagos, Nigeria, 2 February 1956. This elegant crinoline-skirted gown features loops of embroidery all over the skirt. These are repeated in heavy encrustation around the neckline in a style reminiscent of African tribal necklaces.
