Worn for a State Banquet at the White House during The Queen’s first visit to the United States as Sovereign, October 1957. One of Hardy Amies’ most successful evening designs for The Queen, the restrained embroidery combined with impeccable tailoring featuring pleats over the bodice repeated in the full skirt.
