St Paul's on a Misty Morning

1854

RCIN 2906195

This photograph was shown in 1854 at the first exhibition of the Photographic Society, where it received high praise. A review in The Athenaeum described it as 'truthfulness itself', while another in The Art Journal called it 'beautifully artistic and at the same time natural.' When reviewing the Photographic Society's exhibition in 1855, The Art Journal also referred to this 'striking' picture.
