Princess Louise (or, as she preferred, Marie Louise) was the second daughter and youngest surviving child of Princess Helena and Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein. She married Prince Aribert of Anhalt in 1891 but separated from him after nine years. Princess Marie Louise was the originator of the idea which eventually led to the creation of Queen Mary's Doll's House, and also wrote her autobiography, My Memories of Six Reigns, shortly before her death in 1956.
