RCIN 2925555.e

Photograph of Constantine, Duke of Sparta, with his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Sparta, sitting on the beach at Seaford. The Duke holds his younger daughter, Princess Irene of Greece, who raises her right arm. Large Victorian gabled house behind them.

This is one of a number of snapshots taken by Princess Victoria (probably with a No.2 Bull's-Eye Kodak camera) between 12 and 14 July 1905, when she was visiting Seaford with her cousins, the Duke and Duchess of Sparta (later King Constantine I and Queen Sophie of the Hellenes), and their children.
