Narratives of the Popish Plot commonly followed a set style: they were produced in large format and printed clearly on good-quality paper, setting them apart from other topical pamphlets. Though they were subjective, even fictitious accounts of events, many attempted to proclaim their truthfulness with certifications from prominent officials and the inclusion of legal terminology.
