The Henry VIII Gateway and the Salisbury Tower from within the Lower Ward

Many of the buildings in the Lower Ward, including the Salisbury Tower here on the right, were remodelled in the reign of Queen Victoria by the architects Edward Blore, Anthony Salvin and Sir George Gilbert Scott. The area in front of the trees is used today as the parade ground.
