Castle Hill looking towards the Devil's Tower

c. 1765

RCIN 914568

This view up Castle Hill leads towards the Edward III Tower, with the Round Tower on the left. The houses on the right were demolished in 1779 in order to enlarge and improve the approach to the Queen’s Lodge, which was used by the family of George III when they stayed at Windsor.
